Welcome…
Greetings everyone,
I am excited to announce the return of the Burke County Regional Fire & Rescue College for 2024!!!
As the Director of Fire & Emergency Services Training for WPCC, I have carefully listened to your requests and offer my very best efforts to provide our regional stakeholders with classes designed to meet your personal and agency training needs.
Since our last Fire College in 2019, there have been significant changes to the NCOSFM course designs. The Firefighter module system has caused changes in the typical 3- day weekend fire college format. Although this year’s event is a smaller footprint from year’s past, we are already planning for a much larger & entertaining Regional Fire School in 2025!
Be on the lookout for the 2025 Burke Co. Night Fire College, as well as other specialized training opportunities for the coming year for Burke Co. and surrounding regions.
I would like to thank our sponsors, instructors, and WPCC staff for their dedication towards ensuring your attendance is a safe and enjoyable experience.
I look forward to seeing you in October.
Trey Smith; Director
WPCC Regional Fire & Emergency Services Training
Dedication:
John Stroup
Fire Chief; Salem Fire Department
The 2024 Burke County Fire & Rescue College is dedicated to Chief John Stroup of the Salem Fire Department for his self-less dedication towards ensuring the safety of his community and leadership of his fellow brothers & sisters of the Fire & EMS service. With a lifelong commitment to serving and protecting his community, Chief John Stroup served as a role model in the field of emergency services, and it is only fitting that this year’s training booklet be dedicated to him.
